–
GARLIC SQUASH AND THYME
–
Yield: 4 servings – Prep time: 15 min – Cooking time: 25 min
What you’ll need
Tools
- A cutting board
- A good cutting knife
- 1 cooking pot with the lid
Ingredients
- 700g of squash
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1,5 tsp of dry thyme
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- salt and pepper
Here is my philosophy : use whatever you have in your pantry that is close to the ingredients above if it is more convenient for you. Everyday cooking is fun, it should not be a dictatorship !
Moreover, This is how you create unique recipes which will be yours.
Directions
First, cut the squash in thin slices as shown below. Make sure the are the same size in order to cook them evenly.
Then peal the garlic cloves (don’t cut them, leave them whole). Put the olive oil in the pot and set the fire to high. Add the squash and the garlic. Let the garlic cook for 2-3 min until it becomes brown. Remove the garlic from the pot and set it aside.
Pour the soy sauce in the pot, then set the fire to low. Cover with the lid and let cook until the squash is tender.
To finish, add salt, pepper and thyme. Let cook for 5 more minutes.
Serve immediately.
Et voilà!
